To add a personalized twist to the space, Jessica and Rob’s wedding coordinators had the couple’s initials and the skyline of their home city, Chicago, drawn in chalk, creating a showstopping backdrop. The escort cards were actually small, dried starfish tied with calligraphed white tags. The starfish were placed into a large box filled with beach sand surrounded by lush white floral arrangements.

In between the two tents, a lounge area was set up. Right in the middle was a large square bed decorated with brightly colored throw pillows, with ottomans and small tables surrounding it -- the perfect place to take a breather from the party. As a nod to Laura’s profession, the couple purchased antique cameras on eBay 
and used them as paperweights to hold down 
the cocktail napkins at the bar.

"The pages are now framed and hanging in our home," Jessica says.

Rather than a traditional guest book, the couple provided brightly colored, prestamped vintage Hawaiian postcards and asked guests to send their well wishes via mail.

Rather than having a conventional guest book, Kelly and Matt chose to have their guests commemorated with what the bride describes as "excellent, hilarious, and sometimes spookily insightful" portraits.
